Carrara has been utter frustration for me for years. Not ONE single version, or update to a version as worked as would be expected. Buttons don't work, primitives act strangely, shaders disappear or change on an object, or just plain crashes. It goes on and on. I was so disappointed in version 8 that I got a refund. It's disgraceful the way they treat the Mac platform. WIth a million or so a month being sold, you'd think they'd wake up and smell the roses. No such luck, I'm afraid.
